Join the vibrant Student Affairs Communications and Marketing team as a Social Media Intern and play a key role in shaping the online presence that connects and engages all students across campus. This position will collaborate with our social media specialist to create a dynamic social media presence with our @studentlifepsu and @studentwellnesspsu handles on Instagram and TikTok.
Student Affairs is a division of over 25 units and programs that support student life on campus. Our units represent all aspects of life on campus, from health and safety to campus life and belonging to career success and beyond.
Demonstrated experience in managing and engaging in social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok. Knowledge of social media analytics tools and experience creating content and posting schedules. Experience capturing dynamic content and editing it to create a compelling visual narrative or post. Strong time management and self-motivation levels with an ability to meet deadlines while multitasking as some events may require coverage during evenings and weekends. Creativity, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit. Preferred skills include comfort with photography and videography conceptualization, creation, animation and editing. Comfort with using cell phones and more advanced camera equipment is beneficial.
As an intern in Student Affairs, you'll gain real-world experience in digital marketing, communications, and campus engagement while building a robust portfolio and growing your knowledge of events and resources on campus.
