We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. The open position will most likely be on a back shift (2nd and 3rd) for some duration of time. The ideal candidate will manage a team of represented employees and maintain product flow throughout the factory. Your responsibilities include: supervising hourly union employees including the interpretation and administration of labor agreements; maintaining records including labor activities, attendance, skills inventory, training development, shop performance and budgets; ensuring the product is manufactured to specifications and procedures under the guidelines of verbatim compliance to work instructions; maintaining compliance to business policies and procedures pertaining to safety, housekeeping, discipline, attendance and work habits; planning and coordinating work assignments in support of production plans; developing and implementing plans to eliminate work backlog and support achievement of a balance workload; leading the area of responsibility in rework reduction, barrier busting, and lean manufacturing; defining and implementing individual training programs based on the assessment of individual skills inventories and negotiating skills; experience in assembly processes and applications and Lean Manufacturing; ability to schedule and prioritize work based on production schedules and available resources; and ability to master computer systems and analyze data.
Salary: $76,200.00 - $127,000.00 per year. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in PA. What You Bring: High School diploma or equivalent, minimum three years' experience in a manufacturing environment and two (2) years' experience in a lead position, winding, welding, assembly and/or engineering background is a plus. Four year machinist journeyman graduate is a plus, basic computer skill with the ability to use Oracle. Willing to work back shifts and/or weekends, due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens. Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
