You're experienced, proactive, and confident in supporting complex lending activity while delivering exceptional service to both clients and internal partners. At C&N, we're seeking a Loan Support Specialist II to join our team. In this role, you'll take on more advanced responsibilities in loan processing, portfolio support, documentation review, and client relationship coordination. You'll work closely with lenders, credit partners, and third-party providers to keep lending workflows moving efficiently and accurately. If you have strong attention to detail, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact while continuing to grow in the commercial lending space.

You will be responsible for:

  • Client Support: Serve as a trusted point of contact for commercial lending clients—assisting with payments, line of credit advances, wire requests, ACH limit changes, letters of credit, and general account questions. Help onboard new clients and support seamless transitions into the bank.
  • Loan Processing & Documentation: Prepare, review, and distribute loan documentation with accuracy. Work with lenders, documentation prep teams, and attorneys to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth loan closings. Start new loan requests in Lending Cloud and support the approval workflow.
  • Portfolio Management: Assist lenders with monitoring annual reviews, gathering financial documentation, tracking rate modifications, managing document requests, and keeping loan maintenance and collateral information current. Generate and process loan payoffs and handle construction loan disbursements as needed.
  • Third-Party Coordination: Communicate with attorneys, insurance agents, title companies, government offices, appraisers, accountants, and other partners to gather required documentation and support both new loans and existing portfolio needs.
  • Limited Lending Functions: Under lender direction, engage with clients regarding loan requests, filter small business applications, prepare closing documents, and conduct closings when needed.
  • Audit & Compliance Support: Assist with internal and external audit requests, compliance reviews, and the overall accuracy and completeness of lending files.
  • Event Support: Assist with organizing events by preparing materials, coordinating logistics, gathering documentation, and supporting lenders to ensure professional and successful event execution.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner closely with lenders, credit analysts, Loan Processing, and other internal partners to keep loans moving efficiently from application through closing. Maintain proactive communication to support an exceptional client experience.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Uphold C&N's Customer Service Standards through responsive communication, professionalism, and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Education & Experience – You will need a High School Diploma or GED AND 2–4 years of experience in commercial lending support OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills – You should possess well-developed abilities and a proven track record in the following areas:

    • Excellent research, organization, and multitasking abilities.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
