Develop test algorithms to enable proper calibration and performance verification of optical modules and line card used in next generation Photonics Integrated Circuit (PIC) based network solutions of 800 Gbit/wave and beyond. Communicate across groups to ensure test capability meets customer and organizational goals. Assist test development team, providing feedback of algorithm robustness by adeptly developing custom SQL queries and JMP scripts to verify test output and capability. Create and implement infrastructure to enable volume module calibration and performance verification against key product specifications. Provide timely feedback of test and product performance during development phase. Help drive end to end test yield improvements and test time reduction efforts.
Must have a Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Electrical and optical test measurement equipment including optical attenuators, switches, polarization controllers, optical spectrum analyzers, digital multi-meters, and/or oscilloscopes; Optical parameters of III-V semiconductors (InP) and/or optical phase/amplitude modulation theory; SQL querying and/or knowledge of database structure; Data analysis; MATLAB or VB.net.
