As a Food and Nutrition Services Adviser 1, you will be tasked with conducting administrative reviews of federally funded child nutrition programs to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. Work involves reviewing and analyzing statistical, nutritional, and financial data to determine if sponsors are following regulations, as well as preparing corrective action plans for federally funded child and adult care nutrition sponsors that require changes to meet these critical standards. You will have the opportunity to travel to sponsoring entities for the purpose of ensuring that the food service is conducted in compliance with federal regulations and state policies. This includes providing training and technical assistance to program sponsors. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
This position is home headquartered; however, travel is required throughout Philadelphia, Chester, Montgomery, Northampton, Bucks, Lehigh, and Berks counties.
Telework: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of professional experience in nutrition services or school food service management and a bachelor's degree in dietetics, nutrition, food service administration, or hotel and restaurant management;or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
This position is home headquartered and requires travel to the following counties as workload dictates: Philadelphia, Chester, Montgomery, Northampton, Bucks, Lehigh, and Berks counties. You must reside in or relocate to one of these counties within six months of hire.
