The Environmental Operations Engineer is responsible for supporting operations of the facility's filter plant, waste water treatment plant, and solid waste disposal activities. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety rules, completing required training, using personal protective equipment, promoting continuous improvement, adhering to environmental policies, facilitating effective communication, supporting cost reduction initiatives, participating in maintenance outages, recommending equipment repairs, working with vendors, providing data and technical support, assisting with budget preparation, accompanying inspectors, assisting with solid waste permitting, covering weekend call rotation, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements include previous experience in a manufacturing environment, water or waste water treatment experience, a 4-year degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, strong leadership skills, effective communication skills, ability to respond to inquiries, proficiency in MS Office Suite, familiarity with SAP, and the ability to work in various environments.
