As an Engineering Technician, you will participate in a 12 month training program in one of the categories listed below, where you will assist higher level positions in the drafting and development of the necessary components for transportation projects. This may entail assisting with the preparation of a variety of highway plans, bridge plans, right-of-way plots, and other similar supplemental drawings. Work is performed independently and is reviewed by a supervisor to determine program effectiveness, adherence to agency and federal policies, and achievement of stated objectives. Upon successful completion of a probationary period, you will be promoted.
