Position Details:
Conduct and implement functional assessments. Read and write effectively. Prepare accurate and complete reports, records, and documentation of residents' program progress. Plan and supervise social, recreational, work, and program activities for residents in assigned living areas. Maintain an understanding and supportive attitude toward residents. Keep and maintain records with accuracy and completeness. Handle day-to-day challenges and accurately record and report observations. Lift and transfer residents using prescribed techniques, often exceeding 50 pounds. Follow established procedures for equipment care and food preparation. Communicate effectively with staff and both verbal and nonverbal residents, including use of basic sign language and assistive communication devices (with in-service training as needed). Implement proper practices and techniques for resident supervision. Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and the ability to follow instructions in all job responsibilities. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when communicating with residents' families.
