Wayne County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is seeking a County Social Services Aide 1 to join the Adult Daily Living Center and deliver direct care to older adults and individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities. This is a small center that provides respite to family members that are caring for their loved ones. As a County Social Services Aide 1, you will receive training and supervision to learn how to properly serve and care for clientele who are receiving services at the Adult Daily Living Center. Specific services will entail assisting with personal care and hygiene tasks, taking and recording vitals, serving snacks and meals, assisting with feeding and ambulation, and planning and facilitating recreational activities. You will be responsible for providing general oversight for participants within the program area to ensure for safety and wellbeing. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to build positive relationships with program participants in order to effectively participate in their care planning and treatment goals. It is essential to adhere to all policies and regulations while providing support and services.
