Description Of Work

As a Corrections Food Service Supervisor, you will oversee large-scale food preparation, production, serving, and sanitation. You will supervise staff and oversee on-the-job food service training provided to inmates. Other key responsibilities include requisitioning supplies and equipment, as well as preparing and maintaining work records and personnel reports. You will also ensure staff and inmates comply with established food sanitation and safety standards, maintain safe working conditions, and enforce security and custody regulations in all work areas.

Work Schedule And Additional Information

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday - Thursday. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of experience as a Corrections Food Service Instructor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Three years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation, which included one year of lead work experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training, which included one year of lead work experience. Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirement: You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
