Building Engineer Position

The Building Engineer is responsible for providing facilities and property maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of various building systems. The role involves coordination, management, and physical activity associated with building maintenance projects, working closely with property managers to establish effective operating procedures. Pay: $30-$35/hour Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee building maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor and adjust mechanical systems, including refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, emergency backup systems, and hot water systems.
  • Analyze the operation of systems, identify problems or malfunctions, and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on base building and critical system equipment, minimizing disruptions and ensuring proper operation.
  • Install and repair plumbing, piping, tubing, and electrical components, including single and three-phase motors.
  • Rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, and heat exchangers, as well as install and repair associated controls.
  • Maintain building grounds and tenant suites, performing tasks such as painting, changing light bulbs, and trash removal.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with facility maintenance and preventive maintenance techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 years of building maintenance experience.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • HVAC Certification strongly preferred.
  • Capable of performing physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to work under pressure and with diverse populations.
  • Self-motivated with effective interpersonal and collaborative working style.
  • Good customer service skills and problem resolution ability.

Work Environment:

The position involves working in a multi-tenant facility from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr. 401(k) plan Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) to help offset deductible.

Workplace Type:

This is a fully onsite position in King of Prussia, PA.
