Now Hiring: Barn Worker – Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center (Chambersburg, PA)

The Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center is seeking a dedicated and reliable Barn Worker to assist with the daily care of our horses and facilities. This role includes feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for our therapeutic riding programs. Job Responsibilities:

• Turnout/bring in horses
• Blanket horses as necessary
• Feed horses hay and grain as instructed by Stable Manager
• Clean stalls Clean and fill waterers/troughs Sweep barn aisle
• Give medications and first aid to horses when needed
• Some weekend and holiday hours required
• Considering prior experience and proven skill level, assist with exercising and evaluating horses on horseback
• All other duties as assigned by the stable manager

Must be able to carry equipment and supplies, with or without accommodation.

Schedule:

• 10-12 hours/week
• Some weekend and holiday hours required

Compensation:

The starting rate for this job is $10.00/hour.

Background Checks/Clearances:

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
