The College of Education at Penn State is seeking an Administrative Support Manager to manage the operational activities of the Department of Education Policy Studies (EPS). EPS includes graduate and undergraduate programs in educational leadership and policy and is committed to creating a more just and equitable education system for our local, national, and global communities.
The Administrative Support Manager will play a vital role in the mission of EPS by working closely with department leadership and faculty, advocating for staff in unit and college administrative leadership, and collaborating in the development and monitoring of the department budget.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Administrative Support Manager will partner with the Department Head of Education Policy Studies (the manager of this role) to supervise the Department's administrative team.
This will involve hiring, training, coordinating work assignments, and evaluating the performance of direct reports, as well as recommending professional development and resolving employee relations issues (escalating to HR when necessary).
The Administrative Support Manager will also work with various software including Workday and the following which are specific to Penn State:

Candidates must also have experience managing or maintaining budgets, including tracking overspending.

Salary & Benefits:
