The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for driving total revenue performance, market share, and brand positioning across all segments, with a strong focus on group, corporate, and catering business. This role is a key member of the hotel's leadership team, partnering with revenue management and operations to achieve financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Strategy
- Develop and execute annual and quarterly commercial plans aligned with budget and forecast
- Drive OTB pace, segmentation mix, and ADR growth
- Partner with Revenue Management on pricing, displacement, and inventory strategies
- Sales Leadership
- Lead proactive sales efforts across group, corporate, and catering segments
- Maximize utilization of conference center and meeting space
- Maintain strong market presence through client engagement and networking
- Ensure CRM discipline and pipeline accountability
- Marketing & Positioning
- Partner with digital and brand teams to execute marketing strategies and campaigns
- Leverage Marriott channels to drive visibility and conversion
- Ensure consistent positioning of the hotel's luxury, boutique, and riverfront experience
- Team Leadership
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team
- Drive accountability through forecasting, pipeline reviews, and performance management
- Foster a culture of collaboration and results
- Ownership & Reporting
- Provide regular updates on performance, forecast, and strategy
- Deliver insights on market trends, risks, and opportunities
- Align cross-functionally to ensure execution of commercial strategies
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hotel sales leadership experience (DOS or senior level) in full-service or upscale hotels
- Strong background in group and conference center sales preferred
- Experience with Marriott systems and platforms preferred
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth and lead high-performing teams
- Proficiency in Delphi, Cvent, and revenue management concepts
