Since 2015, Payrexx, as a registered payment facilitator of Mastercard, Visa, TWINT, PostFinance, and Reka, enables the easy acceptance of payments online, mobile, and at the point of sale.

Our self-developed all-in-one payment platform integrates over 200 payment methods and offers versatile sales solutions for SMEs, NPOs, e-government institutions, associations, and renowned companies like BKW, Carvolution, Zweifel Pomy-Chips AG, Hotelcard, and Selecta, from Paylink, Pages, Invoice, Donations, QR Pay to POS terminals.

In addition to the direct solution for merchants, we offer a powerful white-label platform for partners and marketplaces. Payrexx meets the highest security standards with redundant systems and the latest compliance measures. Over 60,000 organizations in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Liechtenstein already rely on Payrexx.

Headquartered in Thun, since 2025 complemented by a subsidiary in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Currently, we employ around 50 employees with an average age of 32 years.

Your Role

As CEO, you are the face and driving force of Payrexx. You lead the organization operationally and strategically, strengthen our market position in Switzerland, and expand our presence in Europe. Gradually, the company should be further developed in terms of product offering, market presence, and organizational structure, and the company value should be continuously increased.

Your goal: to scale, grow profitably, and drive innovation.

In focus are:

• Strengthening and expanding market leadership in the area of omnichannel payment solutions for SMEs in Switzerland
• Targeted expansion in European markets with the help of the new payment institution license in Liechtenstein
• Optimization of structures and processes to sustainably increase efficiency and profitability

You will report to the board of directors of Payrexx AG. The president of the board of directors acts as the first point of contact.

The current managing director and founder, Ivan Schmid, will actively accompany you during the transition and will be available to you as a sparring partner and support during the handover phase.

Your tasks:

• Overall responsibility for operational leadership and sustainable growth
• In cooperation with the board of directors, development of the business strategy
• In line with the business strategy, development and implementation of measures to achieve ambitious business goals
• Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and compliance standards
• Financial responsibility and financial management in close cooperation with the CFO to ensure financial transparency, profitability, and sustainable growth
• Continuous improvement of operations, processes, and cost structures
• Representation of Payrexx to customers, partners, investors, and the public
• Close collaboration with the board of directors
• Building and leading a strong, motivated team

Qualification

• Several years of leadership experience preferably in the payment sector, alternatively in the fintech or SaaS sector
• In-depth understanding of the Swiss and/or European payment landscape
• Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on mentality, and strategic vision
• Experience in building and scaling growing organizations
• Confident in dealing with investors and stakeholders
• Technical understanding of regulated markets and digital business models
• Communicative in German and English
• A team player with healthy self-confidence and groundedness
• An experienced leader with positive energy, who can demonstrate a corresponding track record (including profit responsibility) and is still "hungry"
• Competence and practical experience in dealing with investors and M&A
