Data Team Role
Payabl. empowers businesses to grow through payments innovation and banking services. As a licensed financial company with principal membership with card schemes, we specialize in global payments and providing businesses with multi-currency accounts. The role is about: Data Team, where you play a vital role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making across the organization. Your tasks include data collection, ensuring quality, and developing databases. You're skilled in SQL, Python for data manipulation and visualization tools. Collaborative and communicative, you work with various teams to understand their needs and provide actionable insights. Passionate about staying updated with new technologies, you drive innovation and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Location: Hybrid in Cyprus Office or Remote from Europe.
Reporting to: Head of Engineering
What you will do:
- Building and maintaining our Kubernetes clusters (not just creating tools and deploying apps), but the emphasis is on being able to do this in a code-first way: infrastructure as code.
- Work closely with other teams to identify pain points and problems around the platform.
- Develop new tools and frameworks to improve data platform.
- Manage CI/CD. Design, develop, and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues using tools like Prometheus, Grafana.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Participate in code reviews and help teammates with constructive feedback.
What we need:
- At least 4 years of experience with containerization technology (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud platforms.
- Linux experience: troubleshooting, Bash/Python/Perl scripting, familiarity with multiple distributions (Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL).
- Experience developing automation for CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins.
- Experience in Linux packaging and build tools.
- Desire to learn and participate in coaching junior members of the team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Outstanding attention to details.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A customer-centric, empathetic mindset with excellent listening skills.
- An ability to focus on what counts, creating simple solutions to deliver fast results.

Step 3: Technical Review Interview: A 45-60 mins online google interview with our DevOps experts to assess and discuss your test.
