Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Service Technician to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with the customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Continuous proactive customer interactions including an in-depth understanding of customer(s) needs, wants and systems currently in place.
  • Apply solutions to system problems by either troubleshooting the system or advising the customer how to resolve the problem. Provides recommendations to Management.
  • Daily communications with Manager for progress, delays, requirements, and general status
  • Daily logbook is kept up to date with customer requests, worked performed each, job numbers, dates and times, including entry of timesheet via company provided website.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accounting for all inventory materials used, work hours, scope performed, and verification of testing results, reports complete and accurate information. Solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under limited supervision.
  • Work independently with minimum guidance.
  • Perform self-study (reading, research, and practice) to obtain technical proficiency on required products and applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years working in the electronic field where AC/DC theory is used on a daily basis
  • 2+ years working networking of computers, operating MS Office, and Windows XP, (or equivalent)
  • 2 Years of Technical school, electronics training or equivalent military training
  • Candidate should have knowledge of the products that The Protection Bureau uses
  • Proper hand and power tool operations and safety
  • Ability to read blue prints and schematics
  • Must be familiar with analog/digital multi-meter
  • Ability to wire and troubleshoot relay logic
  • Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Ability to finish any type of projects
  • Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
  • Ability to write correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Strong customer communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
  • Ability to function as an effective team member
  • Ability to work on Access Control systems such as S2, Amag, DSX. Ability to work on various CCTV systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturer certification or product knowledge with: CCure, Amag, Genetec, S2, Alarm.com, EST, DMP and Connect One

Compensation - starting at $30+/hour commensurate with experience
