Sales Development Representative

Our client is seeking a motivated SDR to join their growing logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for contacting new leads, following up with potential customers, managing incoming calls, and coordinating logistics details for shipments. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a proven background in sales or customer engagement. You'll play a key role in converting leads into loyal clients while ensuring smooth coordination of shipping logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Management: Contact new leads provided daily and handle incoming calls from prospective clients in a professional, friendly, and persuasive manner.
  • Client Follow-Up: Reach out to clients who have already received quotes to answer questions, address concerns, and encourage them to move forward with our services.
  • Data Entry & Record Keeping: Accurately enter client shipment inventories and related information into the company's system.
  • Quote Preparation: Assist in preparing and updating detailed price quotes to promote services effectively and competitively.
  • Sales Conversion: Use consultative selling techniques to convert inquiries and quotes into confirmed bookings.
  • Customer Support: Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the booking and shipping process, ensuring all details are handled efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate logistics operations.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in telephone sales, customer service, or logistics coordination.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with clear, neutral English pronunciation.
  • Demonstrated success in lead conversion and follow-up strategies.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and communication tools.
  • Basic understanding of logistics or freight/shipping operations is a plus.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

Interview Process:

  • Initial Phone Interview: Brief discussion to assess communication skills and sales background.
  • Video Interview: A more detailed conversation about experience, client handling, and logistics understanding.
  • Practical Task: A short role-play or mock call to evaluate communication, persuasion, and follow-up skills.
