Role Summary:
We have an opening for a Manager, Account Management (Life Sciences) in the London office. We're looking for a hands-on coach and mentor to lead Account Managers focused on Life Sciences accounts across EMEA. In this role, you'll guide your team to exceed revenue and retention targets by providing day-to-day support, developing sales skills, and reinforcing operational excellence. You'll play a key role in hiring and onboarding top talent, sharing best practices in sales technology and customer engagement, and ensuring strong CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy. Beyond coaching, you'll stay close to customers and industry trends, bringing insights back to the team and helping refine messaging, value propositions, and retention strategies. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape team performance, foster growth, and represent Patsnap in a dynamic and fast-moving market.
This is a hybrid position in our London, UK office. This role has the option to work hybrid throughout the week or fully in office.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide coaching and mentoring to your team to hit and exceed revenue and retention targets.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and day-to-day support to Account Managers handling Life Sciences accounts within the EMEA region.
- Contribute to hiring efforts and help onboard high-performing talent into the team.
- Demonstrate best practices in using the full sales technology stack, including Salesforce, Gong, and Outreach.
- Share techniques for retaining and renewing accounts through effective customer engagement.
- Reinforce strong Salesforce hygiene and data accuracy across the team.
- Conduct mock demonstrations with new hires and provide feedback to improve delivery and confidence.
- Ensure new hires complete onboarding milestones and required certifications on time.
- Coach the team on CRM discipline, forecasting, and communication.
- Help refine sales messaging, value propositions, and customer retention strategies.
- Stay informed about product updates and industry trends and encourage team knowledge sharing.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Represent Patsnap in customer meetings and external events, bringing insights back to the team.
- Maintain a pulse on IP, R&D, and broader industry trends to support consultative selling
About You:
- 2+ years' experience as an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, or support team members - formally or informally.
- Strong grasp of sales operations best practices, including CRM hygiene and forecasting.
- Deep understanding of (and interest in) tech, innovation, and the IP/R&D space is a plus.
- A proactive mindset - you're someone who takes initiative and continuously seeks improvement.
