Position Overview: The Employee Benefits Client Service Representative plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Patriot TX's clients receive timely and accurate assistance with complex claims, billing, and benefit-related inquiries. This position collaborates with all employee benefits employees to facilitate a smooth renewal process and maintains effective communication with carrier representatives. The Client Service Representative is responsible for managing complex client inquiries, updating the client management portal, and providing support to other divisions as needed.

Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position working in our office located in San Antonio, TX.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client partnerships by delivering exceptional service and anticipating needs.
  • Support clients with claims, billing, and benefits concerns, researching and resolving issues quickly and accurately.
  • Serve as a primary contact for clients and carriers, ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication across all channels.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage renewals and open enrollment processes smoothly and efficiently.
  • Advise clients on federal and state compliance requirements while staying up to date with evolving regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates in client management systems to ensure seamless client service.
  • Partner with internal teams to identify trends, address larger client issues, and provide backup support during peak periods.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2+ years servicing accounts in the employee benefits industry, ideally in customer support or account management.
  • Active Texas Life and Health
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Solid understanding of benefit plan types, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Comfortable using BenefitPoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and client management tools.
  • Responsive, empathetic, and proactive in enhancing the client experience.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to explain complex information clearly and professionally.
  • Critical thinking abilities to analyze issues and develop effective client solutions.
  • Accuracy in data entry, documentation, and review to ensure integrity and compliance.
  • Commitment to staying informed on industry trends, regulations, and professional development.
