Trainer (Pre-Service Training)

PathPoint is seeking a Bilingual Part-Time Pre-Service Trainer. The Pre-Service Trainer provides trauma-informed care to Resource Families using the "21st Century Caregiving" curriculum. Responsibilities include presenting PowerPoint presentations, coordinating with Peer Partner Educators, reviewing training guides, auditing classes, and using professional anecdotes to illustrate educational points. The trainer will familiarize themselves with participants, track their emotional responses, and suggest curriculum updates. They will vet participants for any red flags, attend team meetings, and assist with 1:1 assignments and onsite classes.

This is a part-time position with a minimum of 9-12 hours per week. Working out of our Ventura Clinical Office/Online. Hours are Mon-Thurs 5:30pm-9pm, Saturdays 8:30am-12pm - additional hours will vary.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Psychology or a related field is required.
• Twelve months experience with children and families within the child welfare environment.
• Instructors shall be knowledgeable and trained on child welfare practices, Safety Organized Practice, experienced in trauma informed behaviors, California Child Welfare Core Practice Model, Quality Parenting Initiative, and RFA Written Directives.
• DEI knowledge and teaching style, detail oriented with a passion to help children in care and their families.
• Be open to taking on 1:1 assignments.
• Bilingual English/Spanish-with the ability to speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish.
• Must receive a criminal record clearance through the DOJ and pass pre-employment health and TB screenings
