Patient Services Operations Support

The Patient Services Operations Support, under the direction of the AVP of Patient Services creates staff Justifications for the Patient Services departments, tracks third party patient services collection agreements and invoices, assist the AVP of Patient Services and patient services management with administration duties, conducts leadership training, and maintains metric logs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure Patient Services Justifications are completed and submitted.
  • Track quality metrics for error reporting and productivity metrics for Patient Services.
  • Support the AVP of Patient Services and leadership team.
  • Track Third Party draw agreements and review invoices for accuracy.
  • Assist in the development of quality and performance metrics for the Patient Services departments.
  • Develop patient services training for areas needing improvement based on findings from quality metrics.
  • Work with the AVP of Patient Services to implement training programs.
  • Create agendas for Patient Services leadership meetings.
  • Ensure PathGroup improvement and/or standardization initiatives are implemented.
  • Review performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement, or to identify areas needing cost reduction or improvement.
  • Serve as a backup to Regional Patient Services Managers to investigate and respond to customer complaints appropriately and effectively.
  • Preparing, organizing and storing information in digital format.
  • Arranging travel accommodations.
  • Assist AVP of Patient Services with special projects and other duties.
  • Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.
  • Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.

EDUCATION & LICENSURE:

  • High school diploma required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five or more years of prior job-related experience in patient services, laboratory, or other health care environment required.
  • Must be creative to use experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
