✨ About The Role
- Responsible for influencing and implementing the next generation of Ramp's database, real-time queue, or container orchestration infrastructure
- Collaborate across the engineering organization to introduce and scale best practices with cloud-native technologies like Cloudflare, Amazon ALB, ECS/EKS, Kafka, and more
- Build abstractions within Terraform to simplify architecture and increase velocity and ownership
- Solve Ramp's toughest scaling, performance, and low latency problems while participating in an On Call rotation to address critical production events
- Minimum 4 years of experience shipping high-quality architectures for critical systems preferred
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced engineer with a minimum of 5-8 years in the industry, particularly in database infrastructure and cloud-native technologies
- Strong ownership mentality, able to take projects from inception to scaling in production
- Proficient in AWS or equivalent cloud providers, with a track record of deploying production databases and handling scale, concurrency, fault tolerance, and idempotency
- Skilled in mentoring and fostering the growth of team members, while promptly addressing high-urgency issues
- Comfortable working in a highly cross-functional and collaborative environment, contributing to technical design and engineering culture
