Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Paramount Streaming Technology is seeking a highly skilled Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and evolve our next-generation cloud platform supporting real-time data streaming, AI-driven analytics, and global content delivery. As a senior member of the Applied Intelligence Engineering team, you will lead technical initiatives across cloud, networking, and automation domains to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable operations across our multi-cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and optimize multi-cloud infrastructure across GCP and OCI to support large-scale data and streaming workloads.
- Lead infrastructure initiatives focused on scalability, reliability, automation, and observability across cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code frameworks to standardize deployments and improve developer self-service capabilities.
- Collaborate with platform, data, and software engineering teams to align infrastructure design with system performance and security requirements.
- Design and implement advanced networking architectures, including VPC peering, VPNs, load balancers, and cross-region failover strategies.
- Drive incident response, reliability reviews, and postmortems to improve uptime and reduce operational risk.
- Lead cloud cost governance, monitoring usage patterns, and optimizing resource allocations to balance performance and spend efficiency.
- Mentor and guide infrastructure engineers in best practices for automation, observability, and scalable systems design.
- Partner with security and compliance teams to enforce strong cloud security standards, including IAM policies, encryption, and key management.
- Develop infrastructure blueprints and documentation to promote consistency, operational excellence, and knowledge sharing across teams.
Technical Expertise
- Cloud Platforms: Expert-level experience with GCP and OCI; strong understanding of AWS services and multi-cloud networking.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficient with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD workflows for fully automated provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Kubernetes & Containerization: Deep expertise in Kubernetes (GKE, OKE), container orchestration, and service mesh implementations.
- Messaging & Streaming: Practical experience with Kafka or equivalent technologies supporting event-driven systems.
- Networking & Security: Advanced knowledge of VPCs, load balancers, firewalls, zero-trust models, and cloud-native security tools.
- Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Proven track record designing resilient multi-region systems and automated recovery workflows.
- Monitoring & Observability: Familiar with Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging for real-time performance and incident detection.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering, including 2+ years in a lead or technical leadership capacity.
- Proven experience managing and scaling distributed systems in production cloud environments.
- Strong programming or scripting experience with Java, Python, or similar languages for automation and infrastructure tooling.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.

Hiring Salary Range: $157,000.00 - 190,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
