Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about retail sales, possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills, and is adept at selling techniques. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities, capable of providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean and organized sales environment. The Sales Associate is expected to handle cash register transactions, manage inventory, and contribute to loss prevention efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service.
• Utilize selling techniques to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash handling procedures accurately.
• Assist with stocking merchandise and maintaining a well-merchandised sales floor.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues effectively, demonstrating problem-solving skills.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring cleanliness standards are met.
• Assist with loss prevention efforts by monitoring the sales floor and following security protocols.
• Demonstrate product knowledge to assist customers with their selections.
• Effectively communicate with team members and management.
• Utilize point of sale (POS) systems efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications:

• General knowledge of retail sales principles.
• Working knowledge of cash handling procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of general mathematics.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a retail sales environment.
• Experience with merchandising and visual presentation.
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership potential.
