Job Description

The anticipated salary range for this position is $65K-70K. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform duties as SurgiTrack Supply Team Lead on site at UVA daily with supply chain, and Operating Room (OR) service line coordinators.
  • Review surgery schedule and advise hospital personnel on corresponding SurgiTrack totes for accurate ordering.
  • Orders SurgiTrack totes and assists supply and OR service leaders with SurgiTrack process and management.
  • Communicate with leaders to ensure essential procedure needs are met and totes align with surgeon specific preferences whenever possible.
  • Coordinate component subs, transitions, and conversions due to backorders, recalls, or discontinuations, with supply chain, OR service line coordinators and Distribution Center (DC) forecasters.
  • Assist with physician preference card management to add, change, and remove items to avoid duplication of supplies.
  • Advise O&M on procedure frequency to determine PAR levels, prebuilds vs on-demand, and component inventory forecasting based on hospital schedule and case load.
  • Process and track returns from OR cases to maximize item usage in totes and reduce returns.
  • Coordinate management of tote components with Distribution Center (DC), service line coordinators, and supply chain.
  • Ensure tote rotation to use oldest versions first.
  • Performs as lead for PANDAC and SurgiTrack services at UVA.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of surgical procedures and processes.
  • Basic knowledge of supplies and devices required to perform surgical procedures.
  • Ability to work with clinical coordinators (i.e. service leaders) to specify supply and device requirements by surgical procedure and surgeon.
  • 3-5 OR experience (certified as OR tech or equivalent).
