Summary

The position is responsible for supporting the implementation of Ovation services, service optimization, and client support for assigned Ovation pharmacy client sites. Specifically, this role will provide key support for pharmacy onboarding/optimization processes including data analysis, vendor alignment, and required documentation processing. Specifically, activities include reviewing and optimizing pharmacy associated expenditure by identifying contract, operational, or clinical opportunities, and development of implementation strategies for both GPO and Ovation agreements. This position is responsible for building strategic alliances with key stakeholders as it relates to a successful pharmacy expense management program and overall pharmacy oversight. This role will demonstrate a strong understanding of the pharmacy's role and maintains current competencies and education to remain up to date with contemporary pharmacy practice.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of new clients as it relates to contractual engagements in the pharmacy space.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of client and vendor performance for key metrics
  • As assigned, track identified contract alignment opportunities and coordinate with vendor partners to reach appropriate resolution
  • Lead coordination of and assist in conducting pharmacy and/or supply chain assessments as needed.
  • Establishes and monitors key data and metrics to ensure successful implementation of services.
  • Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to identify, track, and analyze financial data for assigned engagements.
  • Directs multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provides leadership in the area of expense management and clinical alignment to contribute to client's success within assigned areas.
  • Responsible for managing customer expectations, delivering cost savings throughout alignment according to estimated timelines, utilizing customer participation in the process to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates with organizations to track and analyze financial data important to their organization. This may include but not limited to pharmacy services supply expense and pharmacy cost per adjusted patient day.
  • Develops standardized documents, processes, and calculations for use by the team to quantify savings solutions.
  • As assigned, provide direct oversight for specific client projects including the formulation, implementation, and measurement of success for that specific engagement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Exceptional understanding of healthcare and pharmacy
  • Thorough understanding of pharmacy competencies and requirements
  • Effective communicator
  • Excellence in Microsoft Office products
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Work Experience, Education, and Certifications

  • Pharm D, preferred.
  • 5-10 years in relevant pharmacy experience

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 20% as required.
