✨ About The Role
- Lead data modeling and system design at the intersection of product and data backends
- Collaborate with Analytics Engineering, Product Engineering, and Analytics teams to build a stable and extensible data foundation for growth
- Develop mechanisms to connect data and models with live product features, build unified payments data models, and streamline data flows among tools and systems
- Design, implement, and maintain key business and product data models for analytical, operational, and customer-facing purposes
- Share knowledge with peers and cross-functional partners through collaboration, mentorship, design and code review, and documentation
⚡ Requirements
- Experienced data engineer with a minimum of 5-8 years in data engineering or similar roles, preferably in a startup environment
- Proficient in data modeling for reporting and production purposes, with a track record of initiating and leading cross-functional projects
- Skilled in SQL and at least one modern scripting or programming language like Python, Java, Scala, or TypeScript
- Comfortable working with data tools and systems such as Redshift, dbt, and related technologies in AWS
- Previous experience working with highly sensitive data, especially in healthtech or K-12 education, would be beneficial
