Mechanical Engineer

If you're an engineer who loves mechanical design, cutting-edge tech, and products that actually move, this is your dream job.

We're a growing marine & powersports manufacturer known for innovation—literally. Our team recently earned an industry Innovation Award for our self-booting powered bimini system, and now we're expanding. We're looking for a creative, hands-on engineer who wants to own this product line, push its evolution, and help define the future of automated shade systems on the water and trail.

If you love building products that make people stop and say "Whoa… how does that work?" you'll fit right in.

You'll be the engineering lead for our next-generation powered bimini systems—responsible for design, integration, testing, and continuous improvement. This is a role for builders, thinkers, and problem-solvers who want to see their ideas show up on boats and powersports vehicles across the country.

Essential Responsibilities

Design & Development

  • Design and develop mechanical and mechatronic systems, assemblies, and components, including mechanisms, fixtures, automation systems, and tooling.

  • Apply mechanical engineering principles in combination with electrical, pneumatic, and control elements to create integrated solutions.

  • Generate 3D models, detailed drawings, bills of materials, and fabrication specifications.

  • Develop and prototype custom parts using metal fabrication processes (welding, forming, machining, cutting, etc.).

  • Support new product development efforts, providing mechanical and mechatronic input throughout the design cycle.

Fabrication & Manufacturing Support

  • Work with internal and external fabrication teams to ensure manufacturability, proper material selection, and accuracy to specifications.

  • Provide technical support to production, maintenance, and engineering teams for equipment installation, troubleshooting, and improvement.

  • Optimize existing systems for reliability, durability, and performance through design modifications and component upgrades.

  • Create assembly procedures, test plans, and standard work instructions.

Systems Integration & Testing

  • Integrate sensors, actuators, motors, pneumatic systems, and control hardware into mechanical assemblies.

  • Conduct system testing, debugging, validation, and performance optimization.

  • Participate in root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation for equipment failures or quality issues.

  • Coordinate with automation, electrical, and controls engineers to ensure seamless system functionality.
