Corporate Sales Intern Opportunity

The Ottawa Senators are seeking energetic, detail-oriented interns to join our Corporate Partnership team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with an NHL franchise and become fully engaged in the business of a major league sports team.

The Corporate Sales Intern will work intensively with the Corporate Partnership team to assist in providing the highest level of customer service to our top corporate clients. This team is responsible for delivery of assets within corporate sponsorship agreements, enhancing the fan experience through multiple platforms, developing engaging activations and promotions, while fostering partner relationships.

Terms Available: Full time placements available for Fall 2026 & Winter 2027

Number of vacancies: 1 each semester

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Corporate Partnerships Team with delivering all contracted items to partners. This would include, but is not limited to, assisting with branding, signage, in-arena and in-market promotions, game night activations as well as assisting with processing of ticket and suite deliverables
  • Assist on game nights and events
  • Assist with execution of contractually committed corporate events
  • Work with the team to deliver social media and digital assets as well as contest execution
  • Assist with developing proposals for prospective clients
  • Assist with other assignments as required.
  • Research partnership activations in other professional sports; includes best practices and ideas.

Qualifications (what we look for)

  • Must be currently enrolled in a University Degree or College Diploma program requiring completion of an internship for credit
  • Strong communications skills in English
  • Bilingualism an asset
  • Organized
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft programs (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Customer service experience
  • Flexible work hours required (Ability to work evenings, weekends and game nights as required)

What We Offer

This internship offers an annual salary of $37,000, pro-rated for the duration of the term, along with hands-on, real-world experience in the sports industry. Interns receive two weeks of vacation accrued monthly and pro-rated to the length of the internship, as well as paid sick leave. Additional benefits include complimentary parking at the Canadian Tire Centre, access to tickets for select events, a free corporate GoodLife Fitness membership, and an employee discount at the Sens Store. The organization also has an active social committee that hosts multiple events throughout the year, and interns are welcome to attend these social engagements, along with opportunities to volunteer at signature events with the Senators Community Foundation.
