This intern position will provide product support for a variety of elevator components and mechanical systems. The position will shadow other engineers on the team and support deliverables of their projects for work on elevator components and systems. The position will get hands on experience in the Florence Test Tower and also in the Florence Factory. At the end of the summer a report out for organizational impact and learnings will be expected.
The candidate should be able to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings, and sometimes building plans in order to analyze problems and identify root cause issues and develop innovative solutions. The ability to work across engineering disciplines with electrical engineers, software engineers, and test engineers is required.
The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and be able to collaborate effectively working on cross-functional teams in order to work closely with manufacturing operations, supply management, contract logistics, finance, and field support to ensure designs are compatible with requirements from across the organization.

Education: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering field
