Otis Elevator Company is searching for highly motivated candidates interested in starting a career in one of our various areas of engineering!

These are full-time, paid summer internships, typically ranging from 10-12 weeks, in May/June 2026. Throughout your internship, we provide continuous training and performance feedback to ensure you develop the necessary skills to succeed. Additional career opportunities are available upon conclusion of a successful internship.

The Otis Manufacturing Engineering Intern will assist with multiple projects in the Manufacturing Department that will provide the student with an introduction to Manufacturing Engineering functions and continuous improvement initiatives. The student will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders within the Otis Elevator organization while developing project management & customer service skills.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support new programs/products through production and ensure products meet cost, delivery, and customer/internal specifications requirements including coordinating efforts with product, manufacturing, and quality engineering
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
  • Identify all tools and fixtures required to manufacture the product to specifications
  • Ensure a safe working environment is set and maintained
  • Develop, design, acquire or create new equipment for improved productivity, efficiency, and safety
  • Develop excellent documentation of processes and follow change management processes when changes occur
  • Utilize Lean principles to set up and improve work cell

Education / Certifications

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage several simultaneous projects and responsibilities
  • Excellent analytical skills and technical skills are required
