Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide design and support of field turnbacks for the Otis Gen3 product, cost reduction projects, and help with the new product integration. The position will play a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating design opportunities, and interfacing with internal customers, while working to meet agreed upon cost and schedule commitments.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide design support to internal and external customers
• Modify and develop new component solutions to increase product robustness
• Support resolution of engineering issues
• Configuration Management and Document Control
• Support cost reduction efforts
• Support FTB reduction
• Support engineering CN process
• Support factory OTD through resolving obsolescence and supply continuity issues

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering
• Sound mechanical engineering background (mechanical and system modeling and design, component modeling and design)
• Creo / Pro Engineer
• Sheet metal design
• FEA experience preferred
• Experience with Microsoft office, particularly with Project and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on testing experience
• Strong communications and leadership ability
• Elevator field experience
• Elevator systems knowledge
