Description

Qualifications and Education:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree in Information Systems or related area preferred.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment highly preferred.
  • Must possess good working knowledge of basic networking, database, and MS Windows. Previous experience working with an EMR is a plus.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and maintenance skills with hardware and software.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a stressful environment.
  • Must be capable of working efficiently as a member of the IT team as well as independently.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides customer service and technical assistance to all users (physicians and medical office personnel).
  • Responsible for training and resolving escalated tickets for Helpdesk Representatives.
  • Adds and configures users for multiple systems including AD and EMR systems.
  • Maintains and sets up new software on servers.
  • Provides advanced troubleshooting support with a variety of IT hardware, such as copiers, fax machines, printers, scanners, cell phones, pagers, etc.
  • Provides support for the Mitel Phone System, as well as the wireless ASCOM and iPhones for Clinical staff.
  • Creates and configures software packages for distribution.
  • Creates and maintains network printers through Group Policy.
  • Must be willing to work additional hours with little or no notice in the event of a disaster. Evening, Weekends, and sometimes Holidays are necessary.
  • Responsible to cover on-call rotation schedule for evenings and weekends.
  • May train newly hired staff and physicians as needed.
  • Takes on the most difficult of tasks and may take on extra responsibilities, such as special projects, research, etc. at the direction of the Director and Supervisor.
  • Works on Clinical Applications as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
