Job Summary

Service Technician will be based in Nuremberg, Germany and working from the corporate office with minimum supervision, providing both, troubleshooting and user support. The role requires excellent focus to diagnose customer problems, along with good communication skills with both customers and team members. The main objective is to perform remote support for our customers throughout Germany reach the office via service hotline.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the company provides effective and timely responses/solutions to reports of problems/faults on recording equipment within the agreed response times.
  • Fully responsible for answering Spacelab's customer Hotline.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues online (remotely).
  • Identify problem areas and report these back via correct channels.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is carried out.
  • Provide accurate reporting and feedback to Manager.
  • Operate within the Company's guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the Company in a professional manner.
  • Actively support the promotion of the products and services of Spacelabs Healthcare and maximize the financial results.
  • Work as a team with sales representatives and regional service technicians, clinical specialists and other company resources to contribute towards market share growth.
  • Represent Spacelabs Healthcare as the technology leader and vendor of choice through online product presentations and customer training as required by the company.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on Spacelabs' products and competitive products.
  • Observe all applicable company safety policies and practices.
  • Submit accurate reports regarding expenses, activities, results, market position.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
  • Continue enhancing the Spacelabs Customer Service reputation for providing 'Caring, effective, long-term product after sales support' which distinguishes us from our competition.

Qualifications

  • Degree/professional level education in either a technical (electronics/electrical engineering) or science discipline essential.
  • Proven experience gained in customer focused service organizations maintaining sophisticated electronic hardware, software and IT services.

Requirements

  • Proficiency configuring and fault-finding Microsoft Windows Server 2016-2025, IIS Web Server, Windows 10 & 11 and MS SQL Server 2014 upwards.
  • Excellent ability to communicate at all levels of an organization effectively
  • Presentation skills: listening, writing.
  • Sound judgement is required in the analysis of technical, operational and logistic problems.
  • Experienced user in Excel, Outlook and Word required.
  • Good reading and writing communication skills in English.
  • Microsoft SQL scripting experience preferred but not required.
  • A good degree of commercial awareness.
  • High level of detail orientation to troubleshoot issues accurately, quick and efficiently.
  • Travel: Domestic travel may be an option occasionally at a level below 10% of overall working time.
  • Successful completion of Spacelabs training required (including training done at Company location). Must become fully competent in the application and operation of all assigned products.
  • Work various shifts as deemed necessary for successful installation.
  • Required to register with a vendor credentialing As part of this process, it may be required to submit personal information to a credentialing service company, provide proof of vaccinations or related medical information, and comply with other requirements needed to be able to work at customer site.
  • Must maintain a good driving record for local customer visits as per company.
