Field Service Engineer

The Field Service Engineer will work on a variety of challenging technical tasks such as constructing, repairing, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining and installing state-of-the-art RF Transmitter Systems and support equipment. They will possess a thorough understanding of electro-mechanical systems and design and be proficient in mentoring/training less experienced Field Service Engineers, both in plant as well as at installation sites.

Location - need to be willing to work in both Dallas to Richardson depending on the assignments given. Eventually, we will only be in Richardson, 1401 E Lookout Drive.

Responsibilities

  • Design fixtures, tools and other items to aid in the installation of systems
  • Assist Assembly and Engineering in building and troubleshooting transmitter systems in the factory to support Factory Acceptance Test
  • Assist with system teardown and packaging for shipment to site for installation, including assuring the proper tools, parts and hardware are included in the shipping kit/s
  • Proficient in assembly of large-scale assemblies and systems.
  • Extensive experience constructing, repairing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing & maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment, microwave products, electro-mechanical components, devices and systems.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, engineering drawings and wire lists and communicate clearly with Engineering and Mechanical Design when something is not clear or an error is found.
  • Champion & implement changes or modifications to improve the operation or the quality of electronic or mechanical products and equipment.
  • Determines methods, operations and sequences in setting procedures for constructing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, processing, and modifying electronic and mechanical products and equipment as required.
  • Develop procedures and work instructions to provide clear guidance for installation of ultrahigh power RF transmitter systems.
  • Basic computer skills
  • AutoCAD proficiency a plus

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years experience
  • Strong verbal and written skills to interact with project teams, management and customers.
  • Must be proficient in writing and speaking English
