Position Summary - This recruitment will be used to fill five part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Technical Assistant for the School of Civil & Construction Engineering at Oregon State University (OSU). The School of Civil and Construction Engineering is recruiting students to work in a lab. Duties to be determined by hiring unit/supervisor and experimentation in a lab setting, laboratory set-up and maintenance, data collection and analysis, and other related tasks.
Position Duties - Duties may include, but are not limited to: assist in keeping the lab clean, and working closely with other students. Work in a semi-open environment subject to colder temperatures during the winter, warm and humid conditions in the summer. Use all manner of common wood and metal shop tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, measuring tapes, bolts, hammers, and may include data collection systems to address project goals. Must be able to lift 25 kg. Complete safety training. Protection gear is necessary and provided by the Laboratory. May require sitting or standing for longer periods of time. Other assigned duties
