Manager, Business Operations (Division Administrator in Nephrology)

Department:

Medicine | IM Administration

Serves as the Division Administrator in the Division of Nephrology within the Department of Internal Medicine; assists Division Director in the implementation of short and long range objectives and coordination of multi-disciplinary clinical and academic divisional activities; advises Division Director on issues regarding finances, human resources and space; participates in development, implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures; directs and manages day-to-day operations of division including all fiscal and administrative affairs, activities and functions; provides financial management and administration over divisional budget and funding sources including grants, endowments, release time, and contracts; plans, develops and prepares annual budget and budget projection; oversees and performs monthly reconciliation and analysis activities; creates, implements and oversees financial scorecards; analyzes, evaluates and compiles summary of clinical volumes; actively participates in the planning and establishment of financial strategic initiatives for cost savings for divisions; manages and oversees capital assets; supervises and monitors day-to-day activities of support staff; provides technical and administrative guidance and coordination to ensure support staff activities and workflow processes are handled in an efficient and timely manner; hires and trains employees that provide faculty support services; administers and manages performance management activities for both staff and faculty; plans, ensures appropriate staffing levels; leads and develops recruitment and retention program including an up-to-date web and social media presence; participates in staff and faculty recruitment and promotion/tenure processes; resolves operating and personnel issues; performs other duties as assigned.
