Service Specialist

This role serves as the first point of contact for new and existing customers engaging with the customer service department. They guide customers on whom to reach out to for technical questions, warranty concerns, and parts or service requests. In addition, they offer non-technical solutions, schedule onsite service visits, and escalate customer issues to appropriate departments, when necessary, all while maintaining detailed records of customer interactions. Beyond customer-facing responsibilities, the person provides administrative support to the service team and oversees the shredder rebuild program. They also relay customer feedback to internal teams to address needs and improve satisfaction levels. They work well under pressure and are able to negotiate changing priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer questions via phone, email, or chat, providing clear and concise information and solutions.
  • Address initial startup or general service requests for customers that may require creative solutions or involve collaborating with other departments.
  • Communicate solutions and requested information to customers and provide updates to internal teams on customer feedback and trends.
  • Identify situations where customer issues need to be escalated to technical support or other specialized teams.
  • Utilize the Syteline 10 applications to estimate service, document incidents, research product information, and track progress.
  • Maintain knowledge of company products and services to effectively address customer inquiries.
  • Answer complex customer inquiries regarding product features, issues, and recommend suitable upgrades.
  • Ensure proper installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of products/equipment to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Implement guidelines, policies, and procedures to streamline field service operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Effectively handle customer complaints, resolve issues, and maintain positive customer relationships.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
