ATI is seeking to hire a R&D Engineer Intern for our Summer 2026 Internship Program. This position will be based in Millersburg, OR and will run from June to August 2026. Relocation and housing assistance is available for the summer. What You’ll Do

1. The R&D Engineer Intern will work on development projects from start to closure including: problem definition, data collection and analysis, formal report writing, presentations to broad audiences, and recommendations for future work/improvements.
2. Typical projects include experimental and simulation-based approaches to process improvement, product development, and general investigation of relevant scientific questions.

The ideal intern will have an eye for detail and data, excellent interpersonal skills and a drive to learn about industrial scale metallurgy of Ti, Zr, Hf, and Nb-based alloys.
