Project Engineer

Actalent is seeking to hire a Project Engineer, who will play a key role in supporting the project management team to deliver high-quality, on-time construction projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience across all phases of construction while working alongside seasoned professionals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Document Control & Quality Assurance: Manage RFIs, change orders, ASIs, submittals, and supplemental design documentation using Bluebeam.
  • Site Logistics: Coordinate jobsite logistics including office supplies, badging, and orientation paperwork.
  • Material & Equipment Coordination: Schedule and track deliveries to ensure timely availability on-site.
  • Estimating & Budgeting: Assist in assembling project estimates and budgets.
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Support the selection, onboarding, and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Project Meetings & Communication: Attend meetings and communicate effectively across all levels of the project team.
  • Procurement: Write and track purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Productivity Tracking: Monitor craft labor productivity and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Technical Navigation: Review and interpret drawings using AutoCAD and Navisworks.
  • What You Bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience through apprenticeship).
    • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
    • Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and apply them effectively.
    • Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Project).
    • Familiarity with construction software tools like Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.05/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
