Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Support the design and development of custom automation equipment and one-off machines.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement mechanical solutions for manufacturing processes.
• Assist in progressing projects with minimal supervision.
• Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and integration efforts.

Essential Skills:

• Mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing or automation environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, transitioning to Siemens NX.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Background in machine design, equipment design, or automation systems.
• Familiarity with motion systems, multi-axis mechanisms, and control systems.
• Experience designing custom machinery for internal use or external clients.
• Exposure to 3D printing systems, robotics, or pick-and-place automation.
• Ability to think critically about cost, speed, accuracy, and motion path in design decisions.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
