Lead Data Engineer

An insurance client out of the PNW is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join the team on a contract basis. This person will be responsible for leading the team supporting the Databricks platform for the enterprise. Experience hands on with Single Page Application (SPA) development, specifically with React and/or Angular is a requirement of the role. Must have experience with either pySpark or Python. The team also works in FastAPI so experience there will be beneficial. Ability to work in Scrum / Agile and be timely with delivery and leading the team within sprints is critical for this role. The team works core PST hours.

Skills and Requirements:

• 5+ years experience as a Senior Data Engineer
• Strong senior level experience with Databricks, specifically Unity Catalog
• SPA development experience with either React or Angular
• Experience with pySpark or Python
• Experience in Spark SQL
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Backend development with Python frameworks
• Postgresql experience
