Are you an experienced and inspiring Human Resources professional ready to take on a key leadership opportunity? Bridget Killen from Robert Half is seeking a dynamic HR Director to manage and elevate HR operations for a diverse workforce in Eugene, Oregon. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, an inclusive leader, and a champion for employee development. This is your chance to shape organizational culture and ensure HR compliance while supporting a workforce of approximately 4,000 employees. This position is 100% in office in Eugene, OR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead the HR team to foster a collaborative, growth-focused environment while aligning HR strategy with organizational goals.
  • Core HR Functions: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance initiatives in adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Advisory Role: Provide strategic advice to leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, and professional development.
  • Employee Relations: Handle complex employee matters with sensitivity, objectivity, and confidentiality.
  • Compliance & Policy Management: Design, implement, and uphold HR policies and procedures to align with best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Payroll and Benefits teams to ensure seamless experiences across the employee lifecycle, including leave management.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use HR analytics to identify trends, make informed decisions, and improve processes.
  • Culture & Inclusion: Foster an inclusive workplace rooted in respect, equity, and diversity.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Proven HR leadership experience, managing large-scale, diverse teams.
  • Expertise in employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Outstanding ability to handle sensitive issues and act as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in HR leadership roles, managing diverse teams and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations at the state and federal levels.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and other related technologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration and payroll processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze HR metrics and data to support organizational decision-making.
  • Experience in leadership development and fostering a positive workplace culture.
