Field Service Supervisor

A Field Service Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of field service personnel, overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of products or equipment to ensure proper function and customer satisfaction by providing technical support, answering customer queries, and recommending appropriate upgrades, while also training new field service representatives and implementing efficient service delivery methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Training: Manage a team of field service representatives, providing them with training on product features, troubleshooting techniques, and customer service best practices.
  • Technical Support: Answer complex customer inquiries regarding product features, issues, and recommend suitable upgrades.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure proper installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of products/equipment to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Process Improvement: Implement guidelines, policies, and procedures to streamline field service operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Customer Complaint Handling: Effectively handle customer complaints, resolve issues, and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a thorough knowledge of the products and services offered by the company to provide accurate technical advice.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree or a high level of experience in a related field (e.g., engineering, technical support, customer service)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership and supervisory experience

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude with industrial machinery, fabrication, or mechanical systems
  • Basic understanding of:
    • PLC systems (troubleshooting interface-level functions)
    • HMI screens and user operations
    • Open-loop and closed-loop hydraulic systems
    • 3 phase power, 230-575v AC
    • 24Vdc Controls
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel (including overnight travel, typically up to 75%)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, and working in tight or elevated spaces for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Trade school, technical certification, or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Certifications such as:
    • OSHA 10/30
    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

Job Type & Location: This is a permanent position based out of Wilsonville, OR.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $60,000.00 - $85,000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
