FPGA/HW Verification Engineer

The Avionics business unit at Collins Aerospace is seeking an onsite FPGA/HW Verification Engineer to support Helmet Mounted Display programs in Wilsonville, OR. The FPGA/HW Verification Engineer is responsible for ensuring the FPGA/HW design meets customer requirements.

What You Will Do:

  • Verify FPGA firmware meets requirements for Helmet Mounted Displays used in fighter aircraft
  • Review requirements for firmware designs using enterprise tools such as Jama Connect
  • Create a test approach, outline, and description for chip and module level FPGA verification
  • Implement simulation testbenches to verify requirements in QuestaSim using VHDL, SystemVerilog, or UVM
  • Support the hardware verification team as needed
  • Mentor less experienced FPGA verification engineers

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant
  • Requires at least 1 year experience as an electrical or computer engineer

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Preferred at least 1 year experience in an FPGA design or verification role
  • Preferred at least 1 year experience in a HW design role
  • Preferred experience documenting technical data for engineering teams
  • Preferred experience working on aerospace hardware or FPGA designs
  • Preferred experience working on video processing applications
  • Preferred experience designing high speed digital data links
  • Preferred experience certifying products per the DO-254 standard
  • Preferred 2 years experience implementing verification test benches using SystemVerilog
  • Preferred 2 years experience implementing verification test benches using UVM

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
