A multidisciplinary civil engineering firm in Tigard is seeking a civil engineer with an EIT or PE certification, experienced in civil land development. The candidate will engage in various tasks including storm water calculations and reports, road grading, corridors, lot grading, pipe networks, site visits, erosion control plans, grading, and utility plans. Projects range across commercial, retail, industrial, K-12, higher education, and municipal infill projects on lot sizes between 5,000 square feet to 2 acres. Familiarity with BES, CWS, WES, or Stormwater Bureau codes is a plus. Responsibilities include: performing storm water calculations and generating detailed reports, conducting road grading and developing corridors and lot grading plans, designing and implementing pipe networks and utility plans using Civil 3D or HydroCAD, undertaking site visits to assess and guide project progress, creating and executing erosion control plans, and working on grading for commercial, retail, industrial, K-12, higher education, and municipal infill projects.
Essential Skills include proficiency in Civil 3D and HydroCAD, experience in civil land development engineering, demonstrated ability to perform storm water calculations and reports, knowledge of road grading, lot grading, and utility planning, EIT or PE certification, and a civil engineering degree. Additional Skills & Qualifications include familiarity with BES, CWS, WES, or Stormwater Bureau codes, and progress towards obtaining PE is preferred.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR. The pay range for this position is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00/hr.
