BI Engineer

Business Intelligence Engineer

Robert Half is searching for a Business Intelligence Engineer to support a medical device company based in Hillsboro, Oregon. This Business Intelligence Engineer will maintain Power BI dashboards and troubleshoot and validate backend data issues. This position is a contract opportunity that is six months and is hybrid (two to three days onsite) in Hillsboro, OR.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support SAP IBP → Power BI dashboards
• Validate backend data and ensure error-free data pipelines
• Work with IT + SAP teams on table mapping, data modeling, master data reconciliation, connection stability
• Rebuild existing Excel templates into improved Power BI solutions
• Perform ad-hoc analytics (exception reports, sales insights, forecast deep dives, marketing intelligence)
• Support demand review reporting and provide suggestions for improvements
• Ensure all Power BI datasets reflect the correct SAP IBP tables and planning areas

Requirements:

• Experienced in three+ years of experience in Business Intelligence Engineering or a related role.
• Experienced in Power BI dashboard creation (advanced — modeling, DAX, error handling).
• Experience connecting and validating SAP IBP to Power BI datasets.
• Ability to re-build Excel-based reports inside of Power BI.
