Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Systems Administrator

Responsible for the operation of production environments, including systems and Virtual Machines, supporting critical business operations. Will perform administration and analysis for multiple production environments and recommend new and novel solutions to improve availability, performance, and supportability. This is an opportunity to bring a combination of deep technical knowledge with administration/analysis knowledge of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure to provide escalation support to a wide range of complex production environment problems related to immense growth, scaling, leveraging the cloud, extremely high performance, and high availability requirements.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Administer, monitor, and optimize production systems and databases supporting global business operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, often acting as the escalation point for high-impact incidents.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and resources to drive resolution of critical infrastructure issues.
• Support infrastructure for Oracle systems and database appliances, focusing on performance, availability, and automation.
• Participate in operating system upgrades, bug fixes, patching, and infrastructure standardization initiatives.
• Continuously look for ways to improve system resilience, supportability, and scalability in a fast-growing environment.
• Write and maintain documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Provide rotational on-call support, helping maintain 24/7 uptime for production systems.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong Linux system administration experience (preferably in cloud or large-scale environments)
• Solid scripting skills in Python and Bash/Shell
• Understanding of networking fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and automation tools
• Experience supporting mission-critical, highly available environments.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to Oracle technologies or OCI
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines or infrastructure-as-code
• Familiarity with service-level objectives (SLOs), SLAs, and KPIs in a production setting
