Financial Risk and GRC Specialist

Work with the Credit Risk, Market Risk and Default, Pricing and Margins, Stress Testing and Liquidity and Quantitative Risk Management teams to support analytical activities around controls rationalization and enterprise risk assessments. Learn, develop, and advance financial risk and GRC knowledge through practical experience and ongoing training, to promote efficiency, effectiveness, and maturity of FRM's control environment. Perform issue lifecycle management risk identification, control assessment, issue remediation, and reporting processes using MetricStream, Archer GRC, or Excel. Conduct root cause analysis of data defects and author Key Procedural Controls Instances (KPCi) to align with risk management policies and strengthen internal control. Train RAS staff on FRM's processes, GRC practices, and ad-hoc initiatives that support achievement of goals and objectives. Support business units' preparation, execution, and delivery throughout regulatory examinations and other internal or external reviews. Resolve issues discovered during examinations, internal audits, compliance reviews and self-testing findings. Monitor, coordinate, support, and document remediation activities of FRM and escalate issues, as necessary. Prepare summary of remediation activities and closure documentation to FRM leadership and governing committees. Implement the FRM Department's internal policies, procedures, processes, controls, and risk statements. Identify and implement enhancements for increased efficiency in processes, controls, and related documentation. Leverage SQL tools or Alteryx for data extraction and cleaning, and to develop automated risk reporting and proactive email notification systems. Promote best practices related to FRM's documentation, including control rationalization and frameworks. Analyze operational and financial risk data using Excel Power Query and Tableau to build interactive dashboards that track key risk indicators, highlight control performance trends, and visualize Key Procedural Control Instances RAG statuses. Implement risk management policies consistent with risk management and GRC best practices. Develop data-driven processes with Python or Power BI for interactive visualization to minimize manual intervention and enhance risk reporting and control testing frameworks. Up to 40% telecommuting permitted. OCC offers a standard benefits package.

Education & Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related and three (3) years of experience as a Financial Risk Specialist, Business Risk Specialist, Financial Analyst, or related.
